Writing Classes and Mentorship

English classes teach spelling, grammar, parts of speech, syntax trees, and many other things that make students yawn. English classes have their place, but they never lead to great writing.

No one has ever said, “Wow! Such perfectly placed commas—I can’t stop reading!” nor to a friend recommended, “Read this! The grammar is exquisite!” Great writing is something more than great grammar.

At Blue Manor Academy, students explore the elements of great writing through various techniques and tools, including literary devices.

The instructor for our writing classes, Britton LaTulippe, is the author of the Art of Raising Children for Greatness series and a host of children’s books, including a best-seller, “Dino Hunt.”
